She experimented as she gained popularity with various themes and musical styles, often writing songs of her own. Her individuality and her singing abilities earned her critical praise, as well as several prestigious awards. She has been awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. In addition, she has appeared on film and television. In addition, she is the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as a member of numerous charitable organizations.
