Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, and owner of the independently liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. She moved to Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and earned an MA at Cambridge University in Economics. At 21 she became head of the famous debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student to do so. A conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she went on to become the voice of Huffington Post. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna rose to fame in 2003 after she decided to run for a non-partisan position for the California recall election in order to succeed the then governor Davis. Alongside this she was the leader of the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes placed her at 12 on its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their top 100 list in 2010. AOL, Inc. appointed her President of their media group in 2011 after they purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included additional AOL brands, including Engadget AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalist and management consultants. Although she had a close connection to her mother and father and father, it was their relationship which shaped her. In her earliest years she showed leadership abilities which are still widely admired. In the year she turned 16, she moved from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies she joined Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first female president and only president from outside the country. In 1972, she earned the degree of Master in Economics. She became a writer, a critic as well as a host on TV as well as a columnist following her graduation. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on the show Face the music.
