Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She's co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and owner of the independently open online newsmagazine The Huffington Post. Her move out of Greece to England at the age of 16 and obtained a MA from Cambridge University in Economics. As the first foreign student to hold the position of president in the prestigious debate group The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take over the presidency. She was a conservative syndicated writer after her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a couple of years following, she launched an online voice platform that offered criticisms on political scenarios. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna was famous after she was elected as an independent candidate in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. She also headed the Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Her name was voted as the most Popular Women in Media by Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th spot on the list. That same year Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her president of that media group which included many then-existing AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos the management and journalism consultant. While she enjoyed a strong connection to both of her parents but it was their connection that shaped her. Even as a young girl she demonstrated leadership skills that she's still known for. At the age of 16 the girl moved into her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. She joined the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college, where she was the first woman to serve as president. She graduated in 1972 with a master's degree in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a columnist critic, and a television host. Additionally, she starred alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editing assistance.
