Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 from 1937 to January 19 2007) was an American theatre, film television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her professional career in theatre and was a part of films towards the end of the 1950s. She then appeared in important films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). In later years, she was a part of various television productions, and was often as a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 in which she earned several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish as were the children of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was stage manager at the Paramount Theater in Manhattan as well as the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
